A runner is responsible for delivering the food from the kitchen to a customer in a restaurant. They have to ensure that each customer receives the correct order. A few of the main duties of a food runner are handing the order to the chef, double checking orders, and refilling customer's drinks. They also have to answer any questions a customer may have.
A food runner does not need to have any experience but a high school diploma is preferred. One of the most important skills that a food runner will have is attention to detail. Another skill is organization as the food runner will have to be able to keep food orders matched to the correct customer.
A server's duty is to take orders and deliver food and beverages to our customers. The right server uplifts the dining experience for customers. Servers need to have the patience, personality and perseverance to thrive in this role.
Server responsibilities include greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill. To be a successful server, you should be polite with our customers and make sure they enjoy their meals. You should also be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with our Kitchen Staff to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
Dishwashers are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual cleaning methods. Additionally, dishwashers are expected to keep the dishwashing area clean and safe by sweeping and mopping as needed.
Dishwashers need strong prioritization and organizational skills.
An oyster shucker's main responsibility is to skillfully and safely shuck fresh oysters and prepare them for consumption.
They're also responsible for ensuring the oyster bar is prepared based on established procedures. They provide assistance to the kitchen manager and kitchen staff with food preparation. Interaction with guests and a positive attitude will be very important as they may interact with customers and answer their questions directly. They also must know details of oysters the oysters being served that day; harvest area, size, and salinity.
